Not every avocado makes it to the shelf.

Some are too small.

Some fall from the tree a little too early.
Some ripen faster than expected.

Slightly imperfect on the outside, but perfectly good inside.

For most of the industry, those avocados are considered “seconds.” They don’t meet cosmetic standards for retail display. And too often, that means they’re undervalued or wasted.

For us, they’re exactly what we’re looking for.

Rethinking “Perfect”

At HASSY, our roots begin long before the bottle. As a family of avocado growers in Mexico, we’ve spent decades walking the orchards, understanding the fruit, respecting the land.

We know that beauty standards don’t define quality.

An avocado with a small scar on its skin can still be rich in oil. A fruit that ripens faster can still carry incredible nutritional value. What matters isn’t how it looks on a shelf,  it’s what’s inside.

And inside, these avocados are full of potential.

The Power of Upcycling

Instead of letting these perfectly good avocados go to waste, we give them a different destiny.

We upcycle them into many products. 

Same fruit.
Same soil.
Different purpose.

What didn’t qualify for the produce aisle becomes the golden drizzle on your salad, the foundation of your sauté, the finish on your favorite dish.

Respecting the Land

Upcycling isn’t just a sustainability buzzword for us. It’s a responsibility.

Every avocado requires water, sunlight, labor, and time. When fruit is wasted because it doesn’t look “perfect,” those resources are wasted too.

By turning cosmetically imperfect avocados into oil, we help maximize what the land provides. It’s a way of honoring the harvest and reducing unnecessary loss, while creating something exceptional.
